DESCRIPTION:Yet again\, our Christmas concert with Newstead Brass band promises to be a sell out and a thoroughly enjoyable event.\nThis concert has now become a tradition in the area and I think this time will be our 27th anniversary.\nIt is always well attended\, always fun and always kick starts Christmas for many people each year. SUMMARY:Spring Sing with The GentleMen
DESCRIPTION:St. Edmunds chuch is at the heart of the community in Mansfield Woodhouse and we are pleased to be returning to perform in this venerable building as it is a few years since we last did so.\nCongregations have worshipped here since the 14th Century and the atmosphere is very conducive to choral singing. The Woodhouse folks are most welcoming and it will be a most pleasant evening of song to warm everyone as spring takes hold in 2027.

DESCRIPTION:Our choir President\, Mr. David Marriott\, is welcoming the choir to his church in Clipstone where he has been a church warden for many years. We are pleased to be able to support the church and David who so keenly and effectively supports our choir. A reciprocal relationship with local churches and leaders embeds Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir into the community and\,  afterall\, we see ourselves as ambassadors for Mansfield choral music and were recognised as such in 2019 when we were awarded Freedom of the Town.\nThe church is a super venue with a great acoustic and sure to be a focal point in May 2027 as we humbly\, gratefully and professionally take the stage. Please come and join us\, you won’t be disappointed. \nWe are\, for the second occasion\, going to be joined by the Mastersingers. DESCRIPTION:St Wilfrid’s kindly hosted the recording of our CD in September 2026 and we all agreed that concert in this comforting and capacious church would be agreat idea. So\, here it is\, a concert featuring our choir but more interstingly\, Mr. Phil Hurt who is the events arranger at the church and a keen and valued member of our Bass section. These connections make good things happen in our widening community area and we look forward to the event with pleasure. SUMMARY:Romsey MVC at the Mansfield Rugby Club
DESCRIPTION:The magnificent Romsey Male Voice Choir join us at the capacious Mansfield Rugby Club for our main summer concert of 2027. We visited Romsey MVC in spring 2026 and were frankly blown away by their skill and control\, quite the most engaging choir we have seen for some time. Led by their effervescent MD Marion Maxine BEM the choir are recent competiton winners and their quality shows through in thier dynmaics\, articulation and contrasting tempos. Their choir is keen to join us at a return match in Mansfield given our usual hospitality and committed concert delivery.\nIt should be a great night!

SUMMARY:Concert with Morriston Orpheus and Sonara
DESCRIPTION:Morriston Orpheus visited the Notts / Derbys area in April 2026 and were hosted in two concerts. The first was with Sonara\, the ladies choir from South Normanton\, and the secoond was our choir here in Mansfield. The two concerts were a resounding success and Morriston promptly invited both East Midlands Choirs to Swansea to stage a three choir concert to bring our local taletnts to a South Waleian audience. Both Sonara and Manfield & DMVC jumped at the chance and so we have four days music and leisure in July 2027. We cannot wait. As we get more details they will be published here.

DESCRIPTION:This is another church from which we recieve repaated requests to return and again\, it will be about two years since we last sang here. It is a lovely cosy atmopshere which makes for a very comfortable and community based concert. Audiences are treated not only to great singing but wonderful refreshemnts provided by the church staff\, some of whom also help in our choir Supporters’ Group. We are pleased to support them as they support us.
