Breezin’ Down Broadway

Mansfield & District Male Voice Choir’s final appearance before the summer break will be the joint concert with the Shirebrook Miners Welfare Band at All Saints’ Church, Clipstone on Saturday 20 July starting at 7pm.

The programme for this event will feature some old favourites ( including You’ll Never Walk Alone and Unchained Melody) and some pieces from the new repertoire ( including Africa and Alexander’s Ragtime Band).

The Band will, of course, be performing their own pieces but the Choir will be joining them on stage in a rendition of the stirring Civil War classic American Trilogy. The combination of male voices and the wonderful sound of the brass band in this piece is not to be missed.

As a finale the Band will perform Breezin’ Down Broadway as they lead the Choir and audience on a whistle stop journey down the most famous street in the world (hope nobody gets lost!).

Tickets will be available on the door.
