Whetting the Appetite

Royal Albert Concert Rehearsal – Neath, Sunday 8 April 2017

33 choristers accompanied MD Ian Grice to South Wales for this event which was a rehearsal for the main event in May.

It was a pleasure to work with Alwyn and those that were able to attend certainly found the experience very rewarding.

Second tenor Mario Curtis summed up the thoughts of many:

“We all know how we gained the confidence to appear among those 800 Welsh men and hold our heads up high.”

“Ian Grice with the invaluable help of Margaret Ball has prepared over and above what we ever expected. The weekend was an opportunity to gauge how far we have progressed, to meet Welsh men with our love of singing and to strengthen the friendships in our choir. A right good practice!”

Ian chats to the Maestro before rehearsal commences

And Ian himself offered some thanks to the guys:

“Thank you to all choristers who this weekend have been to Neath for the RAH massed practice.”

“You have  worked so hard and I am so proud of you all .The experience of singing today with over 800 other men was certainly something to remember especially for the newer men.”

“Only 5 more weeks now before we do it again but for real!”
