The charity beneficiaries for this concert are Hettys and Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes.
Our choir was inaugurated in 1944 and we look forward celebrating 80 years of music making with fellow choirs in Nottinghamshire and with our friends from Suffolk.
Our 80th anniversary concert will celebrate our longevity which is based on a love of what we and our predecessors do – perform! Change is a constant and our 80th year has been reached due to our adaptability and embracing evolution which draws on a shared memory.
To mark such a special anniversary we have invited four of our fellow male voice choirs (Bestwood MVC, Eastwood Collieries MVC and St. Edmundsbury MVC) together with exciting Ravenshead Swing Band to join us in Southwell Minster. This is the pinnacle of venues in Nottinghamshire lying at the heart of what was the extensive Sherwood Forest.
These choirs represent the best in Nottinghamshire male voice singing and no doubt we shall have a wonderful concert together.
